Skittles Night 2004

Thursday March 11th saw RP going along to the Parks Club in Coventry to play a game of skittles against the Coventry Vista Tandem Club. Teams were formed - now it was time to try and knock those skittles down!
I must say that some were better at it than others, but never mind. We can't all be good at everything can we? We were then invited up again to play a much tamer version of table skittles. It was then time for the highlight of the evening - the fish and chip or chicken and chips supper we had all been waiting for [especially those of us on a diet!]
A team from Vista scored the most points, but RP did have one claim to fame as our own Joan Arch took the honours of knocking down the most skittles. Well Done Joan! A good night was had by one and all and looks set to be repeated. Our most sincere thanks go to Vista for making us all feel so welcome and their kindness in sharing the proceeds of this event with us which resulted in our chairperson, Julie Norman, receiving a cheque on our behalf for £50.
