Autumn Concert

Saturday, 9th October 2004

Music for an Autumn Evening was enjoyed by a respectable number of people with some members of the BRPS attending; this took place on Saturday October 9th in Lyddington Church, Rutland, Leicestershire. Barbara Penny and Joan Taylor, both very experienced musicians, had prepared a very enjoyable programme and the item when the audience had to test their skills in judging the quality of three violins was great fun. (the Stradivarius came second). In the interval a raffle took place with the prize being Sunday Lunch in one of Uppinghan's finest hotels. Thanks to the generosity of so many people, the evening looks set to have raised over £1,000 for research into RP. Our most sincere thanks go to Mireielle Portlock who is the National Public Relations Officer for organising the concert, which looks set to be repeated in the future.
